Bringing New Life to Downtown Maysville: Jim and Lisa Slyvia’s First Laundromat

SLE is proud to have helped Jim and Lisa Slyvia bring their vision to life with the opening of their first laundromat in downtown Maysville. Jim, a practicing chiropractor, and his wife, Lisa, are embarking on an exciting new business venture while investing in their community and helping meet the needs of local residents.

The project was about more than opening a laundromat. Located in a historic building, the store presented an opportunity to give new life to an existing downtown property and support the Town of Maysville's goal of attracting new businesses to the area.

SLE worked closely with Jim and Lisa throughout the process, helping secure the lease, guide the design and development of the space, and provide brand-new commercial laundry equipment to create a modern, welcoming, and functional laundromat.

Collaboration was key to making the project a reality. SLE worked alongside the Town of Maysville and the Maysville Mayor to help move the project forward, supporting a shared vision of revitalizing downtown and bringing new business opportunities to the community.

For Jim and Lisa, opening their first laundromat marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter. For Maysville, it represents another step toward a more vibrant downtown, where historic buildings can be reimagined to serve today's needs while contributing to the town's future.
